Whitchurch is an ancient market town in North Shropshire and lies near the border between Wales and England.
The town is at the eastern end of the Meres and Mosses, an area with pools of water and peat bogs, which was formed by glaciers retreating after the last ice age. This wetland is of international importance.
Whitchurch has a market each Friday, a monthly Farmers' Market, a wide range of specialist shops, local bakeries and butchers as well as high street chains and supermarkets. The high number of independently owned businesses pride themselves on their expertise, personal service and value for money. The many traditional pubs and inns offer good food and a range of beers.
This website aims to be a guide for visitors, as well as a handy reference for local people. It includes a directory of local businesses, guides to What's On and where to eat out, a photo gallery, links to information about local organisations, a taste of the town's history and a link to the Whitchurch Town and Parish Plan.
Please use the buttons on the left to take you through the site.
